We are so excited to be able to announce the opening of Ultimate Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, aka UP Rehab. Thank you for taking the time to read about the journey that Jason and I, co-founders of UP Rehab, have taken to finally offer the community our services.
Jason and I are experienced physiotherapists and have a strong belief that a clinic offering physiotherapy should be owned and operated by physiotherapists. This ensures that the care and service provided is not one that is motivated by secondary gain by a businessperson without the training and experience to know what it is like for someone to go through what might be the most significant challenge of their life.
The drive to create UP Rehab is to provide a truly client-driven and client-focused health care service that acknowledges that everyone is unique and everyone requires a different plan to get them to where they need to be. We have both seen too many people who could have prevented so much and with just a little bit more effort on behalf of the health care system that failed them overlooked them, or just didn’t have the resources to serve them best.
We want to provide the best service that you have had that will change your mind about what health care can be and how health care and prevention of illness and injury can change your life, like it has changed ours.
So excited to see you in our new space at University Plaza!
Yours In Health,
Colin and Jason

Colin was born and raised in Hamilton, making the decision to practice in the area an easy one. He first began practicing in 2014 after receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Education is the base upon which he builds his treatment approach, helping clients of all ages and activity levels learn about their bodies, exercise, and rehabilitation. He’s expanded that passion by teaching clinical skills for the Masters of Physiotherapy Program at McMaster University as a part-time faculty member.
Colin’s background in strength and conditioning informs the other major aspect of his rehabilitation approach—finding the entry point of exercise to empower and attain his clients’ biggest goals. When Colin is not treating or teaching, he’s spending time with his family and friends and trying to fit in a daily run around or workout.

Our team of dedicated Registered Physiotherapists sets a new standard for physio. Through evidence-informed and client-centered physiotherapy care, we educate, inform, and treat your injuries to help you feel better, faster.
During your first appointment, the physiotherapist will do an initial assessment to garner a better understanding of your health needs and goals.
Then, each appointment will work towards achieving these goals – this can include improving strength, mobility, and range motion among many other things. They can also be used to help prevent injury.
With our approach to physiotherapy, we will continously adjust the treatment plan to suit your needs and goals and push you to towards the best results possible.
Therapeutic massage effectively jumpstarts recovery when used independently or as a collaborative approach to care paired with physiotherapy, chiropractic, and other treatments.
At UP Rehab, our licensed RMTs relieve pain through a variety of musculoskeletal treatments. These include, deep tissue massage, cupping, sports injury focused treatment and many more.
Additionally, massage therapy can be applied in a preventive measure to help maintain the health and condition of your body.
Shockwave therapy is a cutting-edge technology-based therapy backed by a growing pile of research evidence.
This type of therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses low energy acoustic waves to promote healing, promote blood circulation, increase mobility, and reduce pain.
Our healthcare professionals use the therapy to treat many of the most common conditions we see, including tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, hip or shoulder bursitis and tendonitis, plantar fascia pain, and more.
Concussions left untreated become serious long-term risks, but our team is ready to help you return to regular life again with a comprehensive treatment program.
Our individualized programs often include head, eye, and body stablization, balance exercises, coordination improvement, and desensitization to stimuli and movement. You receive coaching and instructions on activity modification to implement at home to maximize and speed up your recovery.
The vestibular system in your inner ear can be affected by issues like vertigo or vestibular balance disorder, causing dizziness and other debilitating symptoms.
Using a systematic approach based on clinic researched, our trained clinics will help find solutions to get you steady on your feet and enjoying life again.
Operations can save our lives and improve our health, but they require adequate and often extensive after-care and recovery that hospitals typically aren’t equipped to manage.
To make a full recovery your care must extend beyond the operating room with the best physiotherapy and treatments aimed to strengthen muscles, bones, joints, and tissues weakened by health issues and surgery.
At Up Rehab our therapists have years of expeirencing working with individuals after their surgeries to bring back their strength, mobility and range of motion.
Take your performance to the next level and deal running-related injuries or issues at their core.
We use state-of-the-art running analysis, slow motion video, and a movement expert to identify subtle deviations in your stride and gait.
Our post-analysis treatment plan is designed to improve maladapted movement patterns to help you recover, prevent new injury, and moving faster than ever.
Our team treats both acute and chronic injuries that have built up over the years. Our body is constantly adapting, meaning there is much hope the injury or pain you believe to be permanent can be managed and improved with the right treatment.
Speak with one of our health professionals who can assess your situation and begin a plan of action to get you back into motion.
At Up Rehab our Chiropractor helps to treat musculoskeletal probelms with a thorough inital assessment to identify problem areas.
Our team takes a different approach to chiropractic that includes joint adjustments and stabilizations, while employing a variety of manual therapy skills.
Finally we focus on treating the person as a whole by identifying dysfunctional movements in the kinetic chain to treat pain with movement disorders.
The Bundled Care program is a government funded program that allows patients who have undergone a hip, knee or shoulder replacement surgery a certain number of physiotherapy treatments to be covered by the hospital.

Some of the benefits of acupuncture include relieving neck pain, back pain, knee pain and much more.
Both our Physiotherapists and Chirpractors are trained in dry needling/acupunture therapy.
With mandible and jaw pain a common issue, we have therapeutic solutions to help improve mobility, reducing stiffness and soreness that can eliminate the need for more invasive treatments and surgeries.
Our one-on-one treatment plans include manual massage and assisted exercise to help you eat, speak, and enjoy a pain-free life.
